Dysfunction and dependence in an age of convenience

When something breaks, how do you respond? Is it something to mend or do you simply throw it away and replace it? What happens when the thing that stops working are your hands? What happens when it's your relationship? Other Hands, by Laura Wade, explores a dysfunctional, but dependent relationship, between a couple who must rely on their respective lovers to act as their own hands as both their relationship and dexterity deteriorate.

Influenced by Saul Bass's illustration style, the representational, dysfunctional forms and clashing colors communicate the physical discomfort portrayed by the actors.
